Spiced Orange Cardamom Iced Coffee

Prepare Spiced Coffee

1. Crush cardamom pods lightly and mix with ground coffee and cinnamon
2. Place coffee filter in pour-over dripper and rinse with hot water
3. Add spiced coffee mixture to filter
4. Pour a small amount of hot water to bloom coffee for 30 seconds
5. Continue pouring in slow, circular motions until all water is used
6. Let coffee cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 10 minutes

Create Orange Syrup

1. Mix fresh orange juice with simple syrup
2. Add orange zest and stir well
3. Let steep while coffee cools

Assemble Iced Coffee

1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes
2. Add 2-3 tbsp of orange syrup mixture
3. Pour chilled spiced coffee over ice
4. Add milk and stir gently
5. Garnish with orange wheel and serve with a straw

• Crush cardamom pods just before brewing for maximum aroma
• Use a microplane to get fine orange zest without bitter pith
• Make extra spiced coffee and store in fridge for quick iced drinks
• Adjust sweetness by varying simple syrup amount
• For stronger spice flavor, let the ground spices sit with coffee for 5 minutes before brewing
• Try with cold brew method for smoother, less acidic results
