Zanzibar Spice Infused Cold Brew

Preparation

1. Lightly crush cardamom pods with the flat side of a knife to release oils
2. Break cinnamon stick into 2-3 pieces
3. Combine all spices in your cold brew container

Brewing

1. Add coarse ground coffee to the spice mixture
2. Pour cold filtered water over coffee and spices
3. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated
4. Cover and steep at room temperature for 12 hours
5. Strain through fine mesh strainer, then filter through coffee filter
6. Store concentrate in refrigerator for up to 1 week

Serving

1. Mix 1:1 with cold water or milk over ice
2. Sweeten if desired and enjoy

Spice Tips: Don't over-crush the spices - you want to release oils without creating powder that's hard to filter out. Straining: Double-strain for the smoothest result.
