Prepare Turkish Coffee
- Grind coffee beans to powder-fine consistency
- Add cold water, coffee, Aleppo pepper, cardamom, and sugar to cezve
- Stir mixture thoroughly and place on low heat
- Heat slowly, stirring occasionally until foam begins to form
- Remove from heat when foam rises, let settle, repeat 2-3 times
- Allow coffee to cool completely (20 minutes)
Make Waffle Batter
- Whisk flour and baking powder in large bowl
- In separate bowl, beat eggs, add milk, melted butter, vanilla
- Strain cooled Turkish coffee to remove grounds, reserve 120ml
- Add strained coffee to wet ingredients
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed
Cook Waffles
- Preheat waffle iron to medium-high
- Pour batter into waffle iron, cook 3-4 minutes until golden
- Serve immediately with honey or Turkish delight
