A stunning layered cold brew featuring rich coffee topped with vibrant blue spirulina-matcha foam. This visually striking drink combines earthy coffee with the subtle sweetness of matcha and the oceanic hue of spirulina for an out-of-this-world experience that’s surprisingly simple to make at home.

Cold Brew Base

  1. Combine coarsely ground coffee with room temperature water in a jar or cold brew maker
  2. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated
  3. Cover and steep in refrigerator for 12 hours
  4. Strain through fine mesh or cold brew filter

Blue Matcha Foam

  1. Whisk matcha powder with 2 tbsp warm water until smooth
  2. Add blue spirulina powder and whisk until combined
  3. Add milk and sweetener, then froth using milk frother or French press

Assembly

  1. Fill glasses with ice
  2. Pour cold brew concentrate, leaving 2 inches at top
  3. Gently spoon blue matcha foam over coffee to create layers
  4. Serve immediately with a straw
