Cold Brew Base
- Combine coarse ground coffee with room temperature filtered water in a jar
- Stir gently and steep for 12 hours at room temperature
- Strain through fine mesh strainer and coffee filter
Matcha Layer
- Sift matcha powder into a bowl
- Add hot water (175°F) and whisk vigorously until frothy
- Let cool to room temperature
Assembly
- Fill glasses with ice
- Pour cold brew concentrate until glasses are 2/3 full
- Mix matcha with milk and simple syrup
- Slowly pour matcha mixture over the back of a spoon to create layers
- Sprinkle black sesame seeds on top for the "meteorite" effect
