Transform your cold brew game with this aromatic blend that tastes like vacation in a glass! Whole cardamom pods and coconut create a naturally sweet, exotic flavor that’s perfect for coffee lovers wanting something special without the fuss. No fancy equipment needed – just patience and a few pantry spices.

Preparation

  1. Coarsely grind your coffee beans (think sea salt texture - if you only have pre-ground, that's okay too!)
  2. Lightly crush cardamom pods with the flat side of a knife - you want them cracked open but not pulverized
  3. Find a large jar, French press, or even a big bowl for steeping

Brewing

  1. Combine ground coffee, crushed cardamom pods, and coconut flakes in your brewing vessel
  2. Pour room temperature water over the mixture and stir gently to ensure everything is saturated
  3. Cover and let steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours (I like 16 hours for the sweet spot)
  4. Give it a gentle stir once halfway through if you remember

Straining & Serving

  1. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth, coffee filter, or even a clean kitchen towel
  2. Press gently on solids to extract liquid, but don't force it
  3. Serve over ice with a splash of coconut milk and sweetener if desired
  4. Store concentrate in fridge for up to one week
