Preparation
- Coarsely grind your coffee beans (think sea salt texture - if you only have pre-ground, that's okay too!)
- Lightly crush cardamom pods with the flat side of a knife - you want them cracked open but not pulverized
- Find a large jar, French press, or even a big bowl for steeping
Brewing
- Combine ground coffee, crushed cardamom pods, and coconut flakes in your brewing vessel
- Pour room temperature water over the mixture and stir gently to ensure everything is saturated
- Cover and let steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours (I like 16 hours for the sweet spot)
- Give it a gentle stir once halfway through if you remember
Straining & Serving
